I have a Straight Talk prepaid phone and it shows that the expiration date is 7/30/11. Today is 7/29/11. Does this mean I have to refill my phone tonight before midnight or do I have another day before I absolutly have to refill?

I travel to Puerto Rico often. I called customer service they said the area is covered but on the website FAQ's page it says it isn't. The CDMA mape at the store shows no coverage in Puerto Rico. What's the verdict?

I did not have a good relationship with Straight Talk. I’ve been their client for 3 months. Here is my story.
In their ad they would tell you that everything is unlimited for only $45 dollars,,, blah, blah blah,,,, but they won’t tell you that everything is actually very much limited once you join them,,, my service was disconnected permanently without a notice,,, when I started my investigation with customer service (by the way,,, hideous) they just simply apologized and told me to read that small print in my contract again.
Here are few major things you CAN NOT DO: (per contract). No YouTube. No uploading, streaming or downloading (only very very limited),,, can’t watch TV. Neither can’t text a lot nor freely talk. Basically cannot use your phone to its full potential. They are monitoring how long you are talking and how much you are texting,,, if it’s too much they would simply permanently disconnect your service without a notice nor refund,,,
ONE thing I was permitted to do: I was able to check my emails UNLIMITED!!! Hurray! My personal wish to you reader,,, DO NOT JOIN THEM.

my wife had the very same issue with her samsung r451c. if you look at the verizon wireless prepay map, coverage is almost non-existant in the state of kentucky....at least for the pre-pay network which straight talk uses. I have the nokia e71 that works of the att gsm network, and it has excellent coverage in this area. I wish that straight talk cdma phones had the normal verizon network or even the roaming. but what do you expect for such a cheap plan?

Can you use Tracfone minutes cards, or Net 10 minutes cards on Straight Talk? Does Straight Talk have lower priced options?

I recently went on a trip to Kentucky to see family. The minute I crossed into Kentucky from Ohio my Straight Talk phone lost reception and never worked again the entire trip. When the trip was over and I crossed into Ohio from Kentucky it worked right away. It had no reception in the entire state of Kentucky. I love my straight talk phone, but when I travel to that state I have to carry a second phone. Is this just my phone or does straight talk not recieve reception in Kentucky?

I have had my phone now for almost two weeks, and everyday customer service tells me to wait 24 hours, to re-start my phone.. FOR TWO WEEKS! I bought the phone/card bundle. I am returning everything tomorrow, this guys are a bunch of clowns, a joke.

Got my son and daughter, both at Binghamton in upstate NY. They love the service and I never have any trouble getting in touch with them (which im not sure they are too happy about) At the end of the day we don’t have to worry about going over on the minutes, the service is great, and its not expensive.

Does anyone know the setup process for transferring over to Straight Talk?
