Description:
The Motorola 175 is a candy bar style rectangular phone. The phone fits nicely in the hand and the feel is square and edgy as you would expect. One of the great things about this phone is that phone it is built to last and stands up very well to accidental abuse and dropagge. During the course of ownership, I accidentally dropped the phone a few times and it held up perfectly. Phone has a basic 128 x 128 color screen which is bright and easy to read. The keypad is modern with a nice tactile feel. It is made of a single plate with flat keys to mimic a touch pad so if you are prone to fat fingering, then you might experience some on this phone.
One of the nicer features is the clear audio quality. Motorola uses what they call, Crystal Talk Voice Enhancement, so audio quality is very good. This phone does not have many extra features other than built in hands speaker phone, a calculator, stop watch and alarm clock. This phone does not support downloadable MP3 ring tones but it does come with 35 basic tones. Overall, the design is basic and the phone is pretty rugged phone with a unique modern design. This is a great phone if you are looking for an easy to use durable phone for not a whole lot of money. Considering its only $9.99, one can't go wrong with it.
