Description:
The Motorola EM326g is the latest and most feature rich phone offered by either Net10 or Tracfone. If you want all the prepaid features that Net10 has to offer yet want a phone with all the bells and whistles, then this is the one to get! The phone features a very stylish and sleek slider design but that's not all this phone has to offer because this phone has great music features with onboard MP3 Player (SD Card required). If that's not enough, you also get an FM player.
Yet another awesome feature is the 1.3 mega pixel camera which takes excellent pictures. Perhaps the coolest thing about this phone is that it is compatible with both USB and Bluetooth PC connections so you download your pics just like a regular digital camera. This also allows you to upload your music just like any other MP3 player. Of course the phone has all the other standard features such as Handsfree Speaker, alarm clock, calculator, voice recorder, etc.
About the only downside to this phone is the keypad which uses the typical Motorola plate design so it's easy to finger fumble. Another slight inconvenience is the lack of tactile response on the Send/End buttons. In conclusion, the EM326g is the most advanced phone ever offered by Tracfone or Net10 so now you can have a feature rich phone while taking advantage of all that Net10 Prepaid has to offer.
re: you CAN change the ringtones
Robert J Tigges is incorrect about the ringtones. You can use any of your mp3 songs for ringtones.
In fact, just go to free sites that will let you upload your song, and then you can cut out the part of the song you want to use as a ringtone, download it to your computer, then import it to your phone. The Motorola will let you select that mp3 file for your ring tone. I have about 5 songs I use for ringtones, from Bobby Darin to Mariah Carey (original tracks).
You can also just use one of the songs on your phone, if you like the beginning enough for your ringtone. In Settings, get to Ringing Tone, then punch Options , and it'll go to your songs on the phone, pick one, and it's your ring tone !
net10 voice = 10 net10 internet = 1
this little Motorola and Net10 is the best voice cell phone I've ever had - I've been using cellphones for over 20 years. We still have T-Mobile, and I can't get reception in my house, we have to stick out heads out the door to talk to someone - and we're in Atlanta !
Net10 phone signals are strong, I can go into the corners of the basement and talk.
However, the Net10 internet is non existent, with this phone at least. It takes an average of 10 minutes to get to a webpage or email access. That's ridiculous. Even dial up is 100x faster than Net10 internet.
Maybe someone can shed some light. Is it this Motorola phone that is terrible with browsing ? Would a different Net10 phone provide better internet experience ? I am not exaggerating when I say it takes over 10 minutes to pull up any of the stock webpages.
Ring Tones
The Net10 Motorola EM326g Ring Tones cannot be changed although it has many on the phone. The only ring tone that can be used is the Moto tone. If you try to change it to another it will not change. The same tone is used for all the entries you have on your phone book. BUT if someone that is not on your phone book calls you it will ring with the tone you choose other than the MOTO tone.
Sure wish NET 10-Motorola could get this fixed. I have called and talked with NET10 but they never have an answer as to why this phone is like this.
Keypad
I'm an android user now but I used to have this cell phone. I myself had no trouble with the keypad but I guess it could be cause I was used to it, I could text pretty fast on it.
Net10 been great so far...
Alright so I have heard that Net10 has some pretty nightmarish customer service, been looking around the web and I see a lot of complaints about it. Maybe it's because I haven't had to call in or anything but I've experienced nothing but incredible signal strength and no dropped called. I'm not too floored by the internet speed and the features but I gotta say I was expecting much worse for the price, I'm a very "get what you pay for" kinda guy but this I feel I'm getting more than I pay for.
